Types of Shaped Refractory Bricks

Shaped refractory bricks are specially manufactured refractory products designed to fit complex furnace structures and meet specific operating conditions. Compared with standard refractory bricks, they are customized according to engineering drawings, dimensions, and installation requirements, making them ideal for industrial furnaces with irregular shapes.
Depending on the application environment, shaped refractory bricks are mainly classified into the following materials.
Alumina-silica refractories are the most widely used type of shaped refractory bricks. They include fire clay bricks, high alumina bricks, mullite bricks, and corundum bricks, with alumina (Al₂O₃) and silica (SiO₂) as their primary components.
